Being creative is the easy part. Working collaboratively is the fun part. But getting it right takes a special effort. It means we have to take a turn sitting on all sides of the table: architect, interior designer, client, consultant and contractor. It means we need to spend some quiet time “noodling”. It means we need to get messy with fat pens, chipboard models and piles of material samples. It means we need to walk away and then come back with a fresh set of eyes to find the “big idea” that really works, as well as those tiny details that make each project sing.
