Associate Principal/Higher Ed Practice Leader
With a belief that understanding and sharing the owner’s goals is essential to creating excellent architecture, Brian has succeeded in establishing strong client relationships. Listening, clear communication, and a sense of humor are among his key attributes. Brian’s management style challenges both the project team and the client to explore all possible solutions to create impactful and successful projects.
As the Practice Leader for Higher Education, Brian manages the business development and delivery of the firm’s community college and university projects. Energized by the sophistication, complexity and variety common to higher education work, Brian has a particular passion for exploring trends and innovations in education.
A strong advocate of sustainable design, Brian is motivated to research new practices and technologies for lessening our impact on the environment. Brian earned his Bachelor’s in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1983, and joined TLCD Architecture in January 2000.
