PEOPLE + PLACE + CRAFT
TLCD Architecture is a team of architects, interior designers, and collaborators striving for built solutions that improve value for our clients, respect the environment, and demonstrate careful attention to detail. Our purpose is to contribute to the cultural history of our client communities through architecture and building.
PERFORMANCE + INNOVATION
Through active and passive sustainable technologies, as well as site responsive design, we are able to maximize the performance of our buildings and provide life cycle savings. Our ability to embrace new building technologies and products in an integrated way is evident in the architectural expression of our projects and welfare of those who use them.
EXPRESSION OF CRAFT
We craft designs that are interesting, engaging and timeless. Our buildings express how they are built by articulating their structure, form, and function. With decades of shared experience, we are able to execute a high degree of craftsmanship in our projects. This is apparent from initial concept designs through to construction details.
RESEARCH + INVESTIGATION
We endeavor to excite and inform our clients, and in the process, learn as much about them as possible. Design is an active, shared learning experience. By thoroughly researching our clients' needs, project delivery strategies and current technologies, we are able to deliver better projects more effectively and efficiently.
INSPIRED SOLUTIONS
Our projects inspire and evoke a consciousness of place, making the occupants an integral part of the architecture. This is accomplished in part by designing structures that harmonize with their site, and appeal to the human senses. Within complex programs and challenging project constraints we seek opportunities for spaces of respite, calm, and overall wellness.
CREATIVE PROCESS
The collaborative design process engages our clients, users, consultants, and our own design team in an atmosphere of possibilities. Together, we draw on the creative potential of each project for discovery and innovation. Our intention is to make a positive contribution to the built environment and inspire those affected by our buildings.
