Paradise Ridge Winery: From the Ashes

August 28, 2019

“Two years after the fires in Napa and Sonoma, California’s wine country is bouncing back.”

This quote from the feature article in the Fall 2019 Via Magazine from AAA is especially meaningful to us. As a Sonoma County business, we appreciate the spotlight this article brings to our home town and the rebuilding that has been going on for the last two years. The tone of the article is about the resiliency of people who lost so much – and the rebirth that follows a devastating fire. We’re especially proud to be working with owners Rene Byck and Sonia Byck-Barwick of Paradise Ridge Winery which was featured in this article.

Although the winemaking building, tasting room and event center were completely destroyed, the iconic LOVE sculpture still stands on the winery’s grounds. “The image of LOVE among the ruins went viral. Spotlighted in press coverage near and far, that sculpture became a symbol of the wine country’s strength,” said the Via article.

Recently, the TLCD team toured the Paradise Ridge Winery project with Project Architect, Dennis Kennedy who has been working closely with the owners and contractor, Wright Construction. The rebuilding is almost complete and the new Tasting Room/Event Center is set to welcome guests this fall.
