Runners, walkers and Star Wars fans alike turned out for the 2019 Human Race, Sonoma County’s largest annual fundraiser for local non-profits. With a theme like “May the 4th Be With You” our team had a blast handing out water at the Spring Lake lagoon water station. Our in-house musicians set up a speaker system, so every time a group came by, they got a cup of water and a blast of the Star Wars opening sound track!
We also had several team members that met up at Slater Junior High School for the start of the 3k and 10k race. They had a great time running two different courses, pacing each other and watching the spectacle with feet on the ground.
One of the most exciting things about this year’s event was fundraising for Habitat for Humanity Sonoma County, an organization that builds homes for hard-working local families right here in our county. Later this summer, the team from TLCD will come together to participate in a local Habitat build… making this a really nice full circle experience.
