TLCD was proud to partner with The LIME Foundation at this year’s Human Race held in Santa Rosa’s Courthouse Square on May 13th. The Human Race is the largest fundraiser for local non-profits in Sonoma County and we couldn’t have been happier to support The LIME Foundation by building awareness at the Community Village booth, and through fundraising efforts.
One of LIME’s initiatives that is near and dear to our hearts is the NextGen Trades Academy, a program that helps prepare young adults ages 16-24 for well paid jobs in the construction industry. Founder Letita Hanke, her colleagues and students teamed with TLCD to talk about the program at our booth.
On a beautiful spring day, the community showed up along with TLCD team members and their families to walk, stroll or run the race. The Human Race event has raised over $25 million for nearly 7,700 local nonprofits over the past 38 years. Thank you to the Volunteer Center Sonoma County for continuing this amazing event and we look forward to seeing you out there next year!
