George Klumb, AIA
Behind George’s skillful and measured approach to project management lies a lifelong passion for the hands-on practicality of building design which can “make a project sing”. Whether working out details in the field or managing a large and complex project, George brings an attention to detail that instills confidence in the entire design team. With a BS in Structural Engineering and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, his experience includes working with prominent regional architecture firms on a variety of project types.
George’s love of architecture started when he was a kid, drawing buildings and helping his family with renovation projects. Those early years were good preparation for his off-hour projects which include renovation of his own houses. From Craftsman bungalows to San Francisco Victorians, George has remodeled 5 of his past homes including his mid-century Russian River house.
Having spent the last few years as design manager for a California construction company, George is excited about his role in TLCD’s energetic and comprehensive design culture. His leadership is welcome on both large and small projects in a range of practice areas including Education, Cultural, Civic, Healthcare and Corporate Interiors.
