The value Ian brings to every project is rooted in his love of ideas, and the excitement of discovering that single concept that informs and brings structure to a project’s design. Excellent design evolves through focused creative effort and a commitment to meaningful architect-client collaboration. Ian believes that innovation does not happen by chance, but by working creatively at all times.

As both a Project Manager and Project Architect, Ian works rigorously and relentlessly at solving complex design problems. He enjoys exploring and discovering the design opportunities in challenging project types with diverse and complex programs. Ian has experience in a variety of project types that include civic, medical, industrial and educational projects. In recent years his leadership and collaboration skills have proven invaluable on a $65M expansion project for a local college campus that included the design and construction of seven new buildings including a Library Building, Classroom Building, Field House and a $10M renovation project converting an existing Library building into a Student Services Facility.

Ian received his Bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon and is a licensed Architect in the State of California.
