Nate is a licensed Architect educated in California, Italy, and New York. He has experience in a wide range of project types from elementary, secondary, and college projects to residential and urban mixed-use buildings.

Nate believes that listening carefully to clients and responding to their specific needs is fundamental to good design. Designs with a client-specific solution best reflect their goals and have the greatest potential to create meaningful places for users, students, or occupants.

The site solution and building organization are opportunities to express the client’s unique needs. Outdoor and indoor, public and shared spaces are venues to bring people together and contribute to the collective or community value of each project. The assembly of details with care for qualities of material and light is a significant aspect of this design approach.

As the firm’s Design Director, Nate is actively engaged in projects around the office and is another strong advocate for sustainability. He has a Masters degree in Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He studied Architecture and Art in Italy through the California State University International Program, Florence. He holds an NCARB certificate.
