MARK ADAMS, AIA, LEED AP

Associate Principal/Civic and Open Practice Leader

The key to successful architecture is the high-quality dialogue that occurs throughout the entire process of design and construction. Mark leverages decades of rigorous leadership toward an approach that matches the particular project resources and opportunities with spirited design solutions. Advocacy for the poetic vision is carefully balanced with value, integrity, and performance.

Mark is the leader of two practice areas within the firm. The Civic Practice focuses on municipal buildings including government offices, maintenance facilities, transit facilities, and community buildings. The Open Practice embraces private/commercial buildings including offices, hospitality, industrial, commercial interiors, custom residential, and mixed-use development.

Mark received his BS in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, in 1980, Magna Cum Laude. He also studied in Florence, Italy through the International Program in Architecture. Prior to moving to Santa Rosa 16-years ago, Mark developed a diverse range of skills working with design-oriented architectural firms in San Francisco and Los Angeles. This background provides an important perspective in the shaping of TLCD’s regional practice.
