INTERVENTION RADIOLOGY/CATH LAB, KAISER PERMANENTE
San Rafael, CA | Complete
Realizing a shift to interventional radiology, Kaiser Permanente asked TLCD to design an innovative combination IR/Cath Lab for their San Rafael medical center. The project was the first of its kind for Kaiser and was designed to meet the needs of the radiologist while also providing a non-invasive catheterization laboratory for the cardiologist.
In addition to the IR/Cath treatment room, several ancillary support spaces were required including: patient preparation soiled utility, physician consultation, clean linen, control room and scrub room.
A 3 ton steel gantry above the hung ceiling, making it possible for the automated arm to swivel 360ยบ, suspends the radiology equipment.
