The Jewish Community Free Clinic is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing no-cost medical services to those in need. As a contribution to their continued success and reflecting our commitment to social responsibility, TLCD Architecture provided full services (including medical planning and interior design) for a reduced fee.
The architecture is rooted in the mission of the Jewish Community Free Clinic, supporting the health and well-being of all occupants. Our primary design goals were patient comfort and the provision of flexible medical operations in a bright and familiar atmosphere. Building department requirements and the nature of this organization added additional challenges: attain a high degree of sustainability while relying on donated construction materials and labor. TLCD managed the coordination of diverse stakeholders through an unusually complicated process, and the outcome has been very successful. This project exceeds stringent sustainable requirements by more than 10%, while providing a warm, inviting healing environment.
